The project that I had to complete for Europe was a Power Point presentation. Forour assignment, we had to break into groups of 1, 2, or 3 and we had to researcha revolutionary and modern day scientist. For my power point, I chose Isaac Newtonas the revolutionary scientist and Albert Einstein for my modern day scientist.Isaac Newton discovered the three laws of motion and was the original discovererof infinitesimal calculus. Albert Einstein created this math equation, e=mc^2 whichled to dropping the first atomic bomb. Not only did Einstein create this equation, hewas also involved in the Manhattan Project. This whole project was led in secrecy, the whole project revolved around whether or not, dropping the atomic bomb on Japan,

The Enlightenment occurred from the 1600-1700's spreading from Europe. Inventions blossomed; The Printing Press, scientists flourished; Copernicus, and ideas were being thrown left and right; John Locke, Thomas Hobbes. Beginning with the Printing Press, this machine changed Europe in many ways. Not only did it help print out copies of books much quicker and easier, it also helped students receive a better education. The Printing Press would allow universities to receive books for the students to use. Then, the scientists started emerging. One of these scientists were Mikolaj Kopernik. His theory of the sun being at the center of the Universe, was proven correct by Galileo; an astronomer. Lastly, came ideas from many men, two of them being John Locke and Thomas Hobbes. Both men had very different point of views, and totally different beliefs. John Locke believed people were good, he believed everyone was born with their own natural rights; life, liberty and property, and he also said that people should have a say in how their government was ran. On the other hand, Thomas Hobbes believed people were cruel, and didn't think that people should control the government. Hobbes wanted the government to make their choices and for the king and queen to be in complete control. Furthermore, Hobbes had a social contract which was an agreement between people and society. It pretty much told people what they were or weren't able to do. The essay we had to complete for the Enlightenment was a Reaction Paper which included a work sited page. (The project/essay is attached above).

The{revoltinghand.jpg} Revolutions are almost like getting people together and forcing a change that the citizens don't agree with against the government. When thinking about a revolution, in my eyes there should be a positive outcome with people uniting and coming together. However, over the many years of revolutions, something that one will notice is that to get to the positive outcome, you will loose many lives, many battles and you will experience tough times. However, times like the revolution show the world how much we value ourselves as well as those around us. Together everyone in the Middle East believes they can overcome every obstacle to reach their ultimate goals... RIGHTS & FREEDOM!
